Pole just parimad väljavaated mõne eestlase kohtamiseks?
You can currently spot me in South-Indian state Andra Pradesh, which is like Poland for foreigners and Indians: an immense purposeless state without delving into its charm (a somewhat relevant article: http://www.buzzfeed.com/annaneyman/27-reasons-you-should-never-visit-poland). And... I'm in the middle of nowhere equally far away from the South Indian metropolis Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderbad. And.. I seem to be the only foreigner deciding by the curious never-ending peeks of the locals in Kadapa populated by 400 000 (oh, gosh, Riinu, what have you got yourself into?!). Not the best prospects for finding an Estonian? Well, life likes to throw a few surprises to you when you're least expecting...
On the way from moving from Australia to Estonia there's an Estonian with her husband and daughter staying in Kurnool for a few months. Kurnool is about 200 km (5-6h by bus/train) from here which is super awesome concerning the size of India and number of Estonians. It's bigger, but as boring and standstill as Kadapa where tourists are as rare as Ferraris. Traveling to Kurnool for the Estonian Republic Independence day seemed like a good idea after spending 3 routine weeks in Kadapa.
We didn't invite half of the neighborhood to the party, nor had a huge feast, but I'm still sharing those small joys we had.
Maya: a 3-year-old daughter of Karin and Kalyan who was super excited to play with this aunty who came to visit her and was able to speak Estonian with anyone else than mommy.

Yet another lazy poor man's feast put together from accessible components. Tasted oh, so yummy in the multitude of curries.

Kuna Indias on kodused ahjud rariteet, siis küpsetamisega on kehvad lood, ning poekoogid on väga magusad vanatädi Maie vanamoodsad juubelikoogid. Parim, mida teha saab, on küpsisetordi järele aimamine. Pole hullu, sest indialastele läheb see "munavaba küpsetamata" kook peale! /
The closest thing to Estonian-approved cake is preparing something similar to the traditional cookie cake since home-ovens are a rarity in India. No worries, this "no-egg no-bake" cake is actually OK for Indians and they might have a piece.

Veetsin seal pea 3 päeva, kuid 38-kraadine leitsak rabas ka kohalikud jalust, seega päevad veetsime toas ning õhtuti sisustasime aega supermarketis šopates, süües, mängides ning India valude ja võlude üle arutledes.
Oli tore!
I spent about 3 days there, but didn't go around much. We spend most of our time inside since 38 degrees is way too unexpected even for the locals. Evenings were spent shopping in a supermarket, eating, playing and discussing the nice and not so nice things about India.
It was nice!
